About Me
Justin Perry is an Adjunct Professor of Civics and Ethics at the University of D.C., and an MSt candidate in Practical Ethics at Oxford University. Mr. Perry is also a contractor at USAID, where he works for the Democracy, Human Rights, and Governance Bureau. Justin Perry previously served as a Noncommissioned Officer in the Army Jag Corps. He holds an MS in Foreign Service from Georgetown University with a concentration in global politics and security, and a BA from the University of Rhode Island in Economics and Political Science. At Georgetown, he was selected to be a Special Delegate to the U.S./Taliban Peace Talks, where he researched women’s economic and political rights to inform Afghan civic society throughout the Afghan peace process. Previously, he served in both local and state government as a Community Liaison Officer for the State of Rhode Island and as the Director of the Portsmouth Economic Development Committee. His current research and recent publications concern issues in human rights, institutional design, and political philosophy.
